So Spock aka Brian M. Wixson and Chekhov aka HB Gibson went with me to the mixer for Planet 🌍 X Studios in Brooklyn!!! “No sleep till Brooklyn “lol lol 😂 And it was a BLAST!!! Planet X studios was once a famous carwash where celebrities and all of Brooklyn came to get their sudsy on but in 2019 ( 4 months before the pandemic) was converted into a full range 4k studio!!!
I got the chance to meet several of the heads of the studio including (from the last mixer) Daron Jenkins. Oddly enough, one of the other heads was named Darin ( with an “I”) and he greeted us at the door! They had just got through filming in the studio with a “cat” is launching his own tequila brand and who also has a project that was on Netflix!! In the middle of the 4k studio was a bed and two wheelchairs lol 😝 that stayed the whole evening because it was a part of the shoot!!
Giselle Samson was in NYC from the west coast so she showed up as well as the producer, Andrew J. Grell, who had read several of my scripts… He particularly liked *BEEP* and we are going to meet next month to discuss it further! He even toyed with the idea of having me direct it if he were to produce it… fingers crossed 🤞 Angel Martinez jr from the last mixer was there along with comedian Rob Torres both whom are on LinkedIn and Rob is on Instagram!!!
