Send Positive Energy While I Wait!!!

 For some of you who have been keeping up with my blog you know that I have been keeping in contact with an executive from MGM (Gato Grande). About two weeks ago I gave the exec. the revised script and Series Bible. I was sick as a dog when completing it and I had to go to the library to complete some of the transfer of info because my Microsoft Word was down. Anyway, she stated that it would take a week or two to vet the revisions.

Keep your fingers crossed and send positive energy... It's week two and I am waiting

Will be doing the "WHO'S YOUR BAND" podcast tonight!!!

 So, one of two rocker-type comedian podcasters picked up several of my books at the Chiller Expo and because I gave him a couple of my cards, he contacted me and arranged to get me on his podcast, "WHO'S YOUR BAND"! It's prerecorded so they'll only include the best parts but I'm excited because he (Jeffrey Paul) said that his cohost, Sean Morton, would be discussing more that music namely the books and films that I've done (and will do!!!)!!! I'll share the links to the podcast although they are on every platform including YouTube.

Two Publishers; One Kafunk!!!

 This was an interesting week! My sister was going through some old stuff to make room for my stuff in the main house and stumbled upon a children’s book that I had written years ago before mom’s death. It was in mom’s files. I never published it because it wasn’t done for others necessarily but as therapy for myself!!! Long story short, Sis said that I should send it out to see if anyone wants it. So I did and got two responses in one week!!! 

The first was from my current publisher and the other was from a publisher who specializes in children’s books! What should I do??? I have a meeting tomorrow morning with one of the publishers and the other already offered me a deal!!!

Anyhoo, I’m going to let this week play out. For all I know I could find more success as a child author than as an adult?!?! NAH LOL 😂 pic of cover art is below ⬇️  and yes I did do the art for the book!!!

My last book sold!!!

I sold out so today is my last day of the Expo, but Brian’s last day is tomorrow… he had more stuff than me… Oh well…

First hours of Chiller Expo!!!

 So while Brian ran back home for state ID 🪪 I got the chance to meet my neighbors Diane, Les and Paul who are selling records as well as other odd yet fun memorabilia at the Chiller Expo!!!

So Brian finally came back and we got Paul to take a picture of us!!!

Now that we are set… I hear there’s a cigar room!!! Woohoo 🙌!!!

Thankful that it happened again.

 This makes the 4th time that a monarch butterfly landed on my hand or finger in my lifetime. I kept it quiet for about a week but today as the sun shines on me I feel THANKFUL that I keep getting these beautiful visitations. I just pray and hope they come as a blessing of better times ahead.

 So, judgement isn't over until November 5th, BUT they did inform us that the short has made it to the Semifinals in the Edinburgh Film Awards. Stoked, I gave the cast and crew IMDb credits which are currently up!!!

Signing Books at CHILLER EXPO In PARSIPPANY, NJ October 24-26th

 The opportunity to do a public selling and signing of my books was made available due to my colleague Brian M. Wixson aka SPOCK!!! So, from OCTOBER 24TH - 26TH I'll be selling and signing at a table at the infamous CHILLER EXPO in PARSIPPANY, NJ!!! It's Spock's table so he'll be selling and signing his horror themed books and t-shirts, so, it's a chance to meet a number #1 bestselling author whose books are also on Amazon.  

If you buy a book on Amazon and bring it, I'll sign it for FREE, but the average price of books are $10... Usually with my signature books go for $20 so this is a GREAT OPPORTUNITY to get a cheaper than normal signed copy!

Update on MGM Meeting and Other Previous Posts

 First off, the meeting was just to discuss what the script needed to be "perfected" so on that level it was good. Megan Espinoza wanted minor changes of which I'll complete this week. Also, we discussed the series Bible to add depth to the main protagonist's backstory and journey so that was productive. As for the Human Game series, coming Nov. 10 look for the first three scripts to be published so that if it gets picked up as a show, you'll have a heads up as to what the series will possibly evolve into or at least the direction that it is venturing towards.

Also, I reached out to INFINITE AGE (thanks to my cousin) about obtaining an affiliate link. They said that they were working on it and asked if I had a TikTok account (which I do) so the link will possibly be associated with that site... If I get one!!!

Finally, it's still up in the air as to if I'll be making a public appearance at the end of October. I really want this opportunity, BUT it's up to someone backing out so that I can get in.

The prototype cover of the H.G. book has already been revealed but I included it in this post again just in case you missed it or just like "creepy cool" stuff.

Pitch Deck Recommendation!!!

 Had a Stage 32 meeting with MGM/Amazon/Gato Grande executive Megan Espinoza on Tuesday!!! We discussed the pitch deck for Human Game and she admitted that she had watched the sizzle reel. Long story short we exchanged information and tentatively agreed to discuss the idea (and others) further. On a good note, she gave my project a recommendation ( a double recommendation gets you into Stage 32 Look Book so…)!!!
