HG3 is a Semifinalist in Arthouse Beverly Hills

HG3 got the Semifinals in The Arthouse Beverly Hills. I will find out if it is an award winner on January 20th! Fingers Crossed!!

2022 is HERE and a decision has been made!!!

 HAPPY NEW YEAR 🎊🎆🎈!!!

Well some things have changed! First, I haven’t heard from Swedish International Film Festival about the interview that we did nor when it will be published!

Next, HG3 is the script that we will be reading and recording on Saturday January the 8th! We decided to record it instead of doing it live because it would allow people to view it at their leisure. We’ve got some big names interested in seeing it and have already contacted others who may be curious 🤨 about the script and want a sneak peek.

Finally, I want to wish you all the Best of Luck and Love ❤️ in all its fashions in the new year! May your dreams come true in 2022!

Stay safe and healthy and full of ZEST!!!

Making a decision on The Lepidopteran or HG3

It came to my attention that some of the actors slated to read in the zoom meeting felt more comfortable with reading HG3 instead of The Lepidopteran. I listened to them and now I must make a decision.

With the zoom reading just a few weeks away if we change up now we will still be able to put on a good show.

If you ( the audience) have any questions or concerns please contact me on Twitter or one of my other sites or email me (nathanwaire@gmail.com). I want to do what is Best for all involved.

Thanks for your support!!!

Planning a zoom reading LIVE for The Lepidopteran

I got a few actors together and I am planning on doing a reading for The Lepidopteran for social media to get people interested in seeing this one made!!! I have not figured out what platform to use but hopefully it will get a great response! Mid January seems to be when it comes together!!!

See you online and I will keep you posted!!!

HG3 made the Semifinals for Tokyo Shorts

HAPPY HOLIDAYS And An Update On Next Year!!!

First of all HAPPY HOLIDAYS everyone!!! This year had some Great moments in it like winning so many awards and placing into so many competitions with my script Human Game 3. If I could afford to enter more I would!! But alas the year is coming to an end and new ideas and projects are afoot!

So here’s a sneak peek of next year. I have already started writing two scripts and a book! I plan to complete them by early to mid 2022! Also, I entered a few competitions and film funding contests to see if they can help me make HG3... that’s if it doesn’t get picked up by some other filmmaking company!!! It is a Great concept for a series and should be made... God willing!!!

I should be chiming in with you around the Christmas Eve with a link to my interview with The SIFF! So until then I am wishing you all Peace, Love and Safety this holiday season!!

Keep your cuffs clean when wearing your heart ❤️ on your sleeve.

Take care

I was looking at my Instagram and saw the interview with Wallachia Film 🎞 Festival that I did when I won the award for Best Screenplay (HG3)!!! And that was when I never posted it or anything about the award 🥇 on my blog back in September!!! If you’re interested in seeing the interview go to Wallachia International Film Festival’s page 📄 on Instagram and below is the laurels on the selection... PEACE ✌️

Social Media Pages for Sapien Films

It was brought to my attention that on my business card hasn’t been updated to include my other sites! Personally if you are interested in working with me just Google my stage name (Nathan Zen-Sapien) or my birth name (Nathan Waire).

But to make it simple my Instagram, Twitter & FB are all under the name SAPIEN FILMS

I hope this makes it easy to find out what we are up to and doing... enjoy exploring!!!

My Mother’s Latest Production

My Mother has written over 88 Gospel and inspirational songs! She felt creative and wrote a skit based on the Biblical story of the widow and the pot of oil. Loving her I supplied the talent and cinematographer... and her creation took life... here it is!!!

FYI her blog is www.leapoverwalls.blogspot.com

Enjoy

These 4 songs are what I have been writing to!

Inspiration come from all sources and these really get me in the mood!!!

Enjoy 😉!!!

I'm a Finalist in the Toronto C.I.F.T. and here's the laurels!!!

THE HUMAN GAME 1

Just found the original Human Game experimental shoot... Enjoy this darkly comical vision of what became a super cool series.

Displaced Teaser

I just found the teaser trailer I made over 15 years ago for my first script called DISPLACED!!! The script can be found online at Coverfly.com and in the collection of scripts called THE ZEN COOKBOOK AND OTHER BIZARRE SCREENPLAYS. I recommend that you go to Coverfly to get/download the script in its true format because the publisher at the time the book was released did not have Final Draft formatting and created their own structure.

I Changed My Mind About The VMA Clips

The file size of the clips off my phone were too big for Blogger so instead of resizing I just posted most of them on Instagram!!! So follow me on my Instagram page to see them. My Instagram is sapienfilms

Thanks and I will put a few pictures up on my blog

VMAs Audience Clips

So a young lady named Kayla H. who works for MTV offered me 4 tickets to the VMAs at the last minute. Of course, I accepted and had the ULITIMATE MUSIC EXPERIENCE!!! We were literally a few feet from one of  the stage sides (seeing that the stage was a circle that filled the Barclay Center in Brooklyn).  Instead of explaining the clips I am just going to post them over time and let you explore what you like!!! But here’s some pictures of the outside of the event. Greg Chater (in pink shirt) joined us that night... Hilarious... just a few minutes before I took his picture Paris Hilton drove by waving to us in a lime green Mini Cooper! That’s hot! LOL 😂

Enjoy!!

Would Love To Have This Made Into A Series

I wrote a script about 15 years ago for about $2000 and turned it into a 20 minute short film about 10 years ago. It was based on the real teams of mental health care workers who service the tristate area helping the mentally disabled and ill.

Here’s the trailer for it and if you are interested in it check out Coverfly to read it.

BOY: A Story Based On True Events

I wrote this story about I and my brother growing up in the worst of conditions and later in life just before he passed. When I got ill I started to have misjudgments about him.

I hope you enjoy the book trailer and pick up a copy of it online! It would make a great film 🎥!!! I also wrote a 98 page script based on the book called *BEEP* which can be found on Coverfly.com !! Nathanwaire@gmail.com

Some placement news for HG3 and other thoughts.

As most of you loyal readers know HG3 (Human Game 3) was postponed until the Fall but that has only encouraged me to push the script more! So, I have been entering it into competitions and festivals. As you have read it has been winning and placing in those competitions. One that I recently occurred was through Coverfly. It was The Filmmatic Short Screenplay Awards where it made the Quarterfinals. Now, I have other scripts that I have been pushing but finance has been an issue. I am concerned for the production in the Fall as well. I am truly hoping that some studio/production company picks up the script and wants to make it for lack of a better phrase or option. So, put your prayers and mojos on it and stay frosty in all this heat! LOL N8
