What A Great Year For Movie Soundtracks!!!!

Hey Peeps!

Several pretty NICE end of the year events are coming up so I just wanted to post a recap of what I think "changed the game" (hint, hint) this year.

IT WAS MUSIC!!!!

Sure the visuals were outstanding, too. Especially when you consider films/movies like AVATAR, but did you take note of the totally engulfing soundtracks that reinforced the visual dynamics in these types of picture? ATTICUS ROSS and his brilliant audio interpretation of the BOOK OF ELI, HANS ZIMMER with his emotional tour de force soundtrack for INCEPTION, and now finally Disney hips up and locks it down with DAFT PUNK's tech savvy and heart racing TRON soundtrack.

To wrap it up, I know exactly what I want under the tree this Christmas... MONEY!!! (lol) So that I can buy these cds and own a piece of this phenomenal musical revolution in the film industry.

I, LEPIDOPTERAN - I, MONARCH FULL OF LIFE by NATHAN ZEN-SAPIEN

I, Lepidopteran – I, Monarch Full of Life
by Nathan Zen-Sapien

Gossamer - Gossamer full in flight
without restraint
Flutter then glide
(no cessation)
Through the fire and light of day
(no cessation)
Over water as vast as oceans
Held aloft by currents of air
(no cessation)
To reach soil and stone of lands
you have never seen before
To taste their fruit and nectar
(initiate cessation)
To taste,
To LOVE,
To copulate,
To expire.
(cessation complete).

COOL REVERSE PSYCHOLOGY-TYPE ARTICLE by ERIC J. LEECH

5 Ways to Be Miserable

December 7, 2010 at 5:00 am
By Eric J. Leech

Misery loves company, and nobody ever said good company can’t be found in misery. There are countless articles on how to be happy, but how many of them really motivate you enough to take action? Today we’re going to throw all the politically correct, feel-good, mumbo-jumbo nonsense out the window, and get right down to the thing most people do best… making themselves miserable!
1. Follow the Path of Least Resistance
No matter where you are, who you’re with, or what you’re doing, there’s absolutely nothing you can do to improve your current relationship or situation… short of putting a great amount of effort into planning something better for yourself. But why set course for uncharted territory, when it’s so easy and convenient to follow the same footprints, make the same mistakes, and enjoy the same misery time and again. They say there’s safety in numbers, but there’s actually greater safety in surrounding yourself with noncommittal plans.
2. Live in the Past
The one thing that’s even easier than not planning for the future is living in the past. There are so many lessons to be had from living in the past, like fear, depression, rejection, and self defeat. When you live in the past, you at least know what to expect, so it excuses you from the responsibility of living life to the fullest. You should never forgive others for their mistakes, so why extend that courtesy to yourself? Rehash your mistakes over and over until they are no longer just a mistake, but a reminder of your inadequacies as a human being. Relish in your failures, and remember that any failure from the past cannot be repeated if you do not truly believe in a future.
3. Never Learn to Deal With Criticism
One of the benefits of growing up in a “feel good” society, is that we never have to accept criticism. Life is a constant smiley face sticker, and if a boss, lover, or peer offers constructive criticism, you should take offense, stick both fingers in your ears and hum the I Dream of Jeannie theme song until they shut up. You know how to do your job, love your spouse, and conduct a meaningful friendship, so why listen to what anybody else has to say, especially if they know more than you? The only time you should listen to criticism is if it’s mean-spirited and hurtful. Painful words should be repeated again and again, until woven into an inner dialogue of self pity and anger.
4. Count Your Troubles, Not Your Blessings
There’s been several schmucks running around telling people not to sweat the small stuff, and to this I say… but how can we create misery out of feeling sorry for ourselves, unless we have a long list of reasons to be? One neat thing about being human is that you have the capacity to make almost any situation miserable. Did you ever think about where the real pain from life comes from? Is it sourced from the uncontrolled variables of your job, boss, affair, or relationships? No. You have complete control over how those things affect you. There is not any one person in the world capable of hurting you more than you can. You have more control over your life than you realize, so why not make it as miserable as you can!
5. Self Improve for Life
If you’re reading this, chances are that you’re looking for answers to a lifetime of self improvement and therapy. Self improvement is an interesting means of attaining misery by implying that you’re never really good enough the way that you are. People spend a quarter of their life investing in different opinions and products to better themselves in some way, without even giving a single thought to the possibility that they are already good enough!

If You Are In Florida On Dec. 11th Check Out "THE KILLING OF JACOB MARR"

BRAD REGO of 221films and I met this Summer at a film finance conference in NYC. Brad was a cool and friendly enough dude but there was something darker under the surface. We started to talk film and he told me of his latest project which was a horror film. If you were to meet Brad or talk to him over the phone you wouldn't think that he had that kind of creepiness in him... LOOKS ARE DECEIVING!

Although I have not seen the movie the website has an indie feel to it that potentially could be TOTAL FIRE! I mean HOT!!! Below and in the title above are links to the actor's page on his site. Could the next Brad and/or Angelina be there? YOU GO SEE HIS FILM AND TELL ME!!!! I can't wait to hear you responses in the comment section of this post! GO INDIE FILMMAKERS!!! WOOHOOOOOO!!!!

MIKE BIASELLI, A MOON KITTY, & A V2VIFF UPDATE

SOME WONDERFUL NEWS!!!! Mike Biaselli is awake and moving about or at least trying to. They have him restrained because it is very uncomfortable having those tubes down his throat. I was fortunate to get this info from Mike's good friend and fellow cinematographer Jason "Jay" Glover and from reading a FB update posted by Mike's longtime significant other (aka his very loving and important girlfriend) Maria. Long story short... I cried.

Also a personal note to my closer friends ask me tomorrow (definitely not today) what moon + kitty =
I should straight-up know the eagerly awaited answer to this perplexing equation in a few hours (Ay Caramba!) :D

As for the festival, sponsors on a corporate level have through the grape vine been working on helping us reach our goals. If anyone knows businesses that would not mind having their logo on our fest Home page with a link to their site on our Sponsor page send them to www.indiegogo.com/SAPIEN-FILMS-FUND-PROJECT or contact us through www.v2viff.com

I want everyone to be especially careful this holiday season. Drive a little slower. Let that angry dude pass even if you are that angry dude. Let that "ish" pass especially if you can't get it before the holidays just chill and catch the mega sales afterwards. Breathe in and with a cleansing releasing energy just breathe out. No more accidents this holiday season. For whatever reason, no more accidents this holiday season.

Be Safe.

EAST ORANGE PUBLIC LIBRARY Presents A Spectacular CRAFT BAZAAR

So about 3 weeks ago, Aollani Wilkinson of ALINHR bumps into me at an IHOP in Bloomfield, NJ and being the bright, beautiful, and quietly aggressive entrepreneur that she is she writes down on the back of this flyer info about several events. She also points out on the flyer that she will be one of the vendors at that event... I am so glad that I went!!! It was eye opening and colorful with a major dash of community Spirit which is exactly what I needed this time of year. The event was THE EAST ORANGE PUBLIC LIBRARY CRAFT BAZAAR and the great items that were available and at such affordable prices left me totally amazed.

The only way to do justice to the event is to introduce the participants and vendors starting with the chairs or THE FRIENDS OF E.O.P.L.

Below pictured from left to right with vendor Antoinette Jerrick of A Class Collections is Mark Toone (center) and Tonya Caesar-Waller (on the far right).
