BOY IS *BEEP*!!!!!

As some of you know I will be attending the Union Public Library's Grand Opening (on the second day of a weekend long Grand Opening) Sunday June 8 at 12pm -2pm. The coolest thing is that I will bring several copies of my books to the opening to give away!!! One of my darkest books is called *BEEP* but it is actually based on an earlier book called BOY.

On SUNDAY JUNE 8TH, 2025, from 12 -2pm at the UNION PUBLIC LIBRARY in Union, NJ I'll be signing/promoting my Amazon books in the library's BLACK BOX THEATER!!!! As an extra bonus, I am bringing a half dozen books to give away so if you're lucky show up early and get a free book. OR BUY A BOOK OR TWO ON AMAZON AND BRING IT... I'LL SIGN IT FOR FREE!!! There'll be other authors there, so I've posted some of my "ultra-cool" (lol) past and present pics below.

Steve Yank’s Towen 2 After Party!!!

 People came from as far away as 3 hours drive to attend this cookout! Amongst them were my producer/actor friend, Brian M. Wixson and E. Vincent Burrows (who acted in The Towen 2 along with other films that I made)… Spock aka Brian gets special thanks for driving hour and half to the event with E. and myself… E actually drove 2 hours before hand to reach my house before jumping in the car with us!!! This was (minus a few) the first first time so many of the cast of Kevin Caruso’s The Yard had gathered in one spot!!! HB Gibson would’ve come but he was on a panel at a voice over actors convention.

And there were special guests! Emma and Angel Martinez jr who just happened to have a home 30 minutes from the cookout. He is running for Councilman in Brooklyn but has a home in Pennsylvania and stopped by due to my request!!! He has a great script based on real life events that he wants me to organize a zoom reading for in the next month so I was glad he showed up to discuss it!!!

Anyway, Spencer (one of the actors in Towen series) worked the grill with Steve and towards the end they all signed posters, shared gifts, took pictures and had a wonderful toast from Buddy (the eldest actor) to the cast and crew of The Towen films!!! Even the writer, Heather Gengaro aka Gen17, was there signing books and getting some pictures taken!!! I got a shot of her and her children holding up a signed copy of the book I bought!!!! BTW-Heather enjoyed the cigars I brought the most and took a few which made me feel good 👍!!!

Some placement news for HG3 and other thoughts.

As most of you loyal readers know HG3 (Human Game 3) was postponed until the Fall but that has only encouraged me to push the script more! So, I have been entering it into competitions and festivals. As you have read it has been winning and placing in those competitions. One that I recently occurred was through Coverfly. It was The Filmmatic Short Screenplay Awards where it made the Quarterfinals. Now, I have other scripts that I have been pushing but finance has been an issue. I am concerned for the production in the Fall as well. I am truly hoping that some studio/production company picks up the script and wants to make it for lack of a better phrase or option. So, put your prayers and mojos on it and stay frosty in all this heat! LOL N8

The Lepidopteran Update & Some Familiar Plus New Pics

So I can't let go of hopes for The Lepidopteran. I took 3 of the scripts from the series and entered them into The New World Film Festival and I placed the first script in the series on Taleflick.com but I don't have a lookbook for the series so I keep redirecting readers to this blog. So I decided to repost some pics plus a few never before seen images from the series. Enjoy!!!!

ONE BAD-A$$ YANK!

Musician/composer/actor STEVE YANK had some free time this last Sunday so we filmed a monologue from both PULP FICTION and ANIMAL HOUSE. Steve did a fantastic job and nailed the PULP FICTION monologue in just four takes! However, two of his best renditions had outside interference. The first was an airplane and the best version had too much wind blowing at the beginning so I split the difference and went with the best take. A little wind at the beginning can't stop us it just fills our sails and speeds us towards our ultimate goals!

Guilty Pleasures of the Movie Kind ( NEW MOON & TRON LEGACY )

I am a little embarrassed that I want to see these films. One is a glorified vampire/werewolf chic-flick ( bite me... pun intended ) and the other reveals my Gore-like love of film (and my age ^_^ ). Oh well, life is what you make of it so enjoy those few guilty pleasures that aren't considered crimes. LOL. Bite me... hmmm... I like saying that!
